When I first glanced at this cover I thought Douglas was introducing secular music to the review column, but after a second look I noticed it said "Traxter," not "Trixter." Like the secular group, Traxter's cover looks like a scenario out of a comic book. "This should be interesting," I said to myself. Unfortunately my interest is what was lost. In short, these guys are good musicians (individually). What is hurting the band is songwriting. Not even the two instrumentals "Traxter" and "The Flight" have enough substance to hold it together. The lead guitar work is very hard to decipher (you know how you go to a show and you have to strain to hear the guitarist because of a bad mix?). Traxter has the potential to be an excellent band, but until they strengthen as song writers and the lead vocalist decides whether or not he wants to sound like Axl Rose or Dave Mustain...
