Lets put it this way: If I was a new kid on Value Pac's block I would definitely be trying to hang out with these guys. With a style that can easily be filed as "Emo Punk" (emotional punk) Value Pac's latest album "Jalapeño" is full of flavor to tempt your taste buds and stimulate your vocal chords. From the first few licks of the opening track "Nothing" to the final beats of "Big Dream" the heads will be bobbing and everyone within ears reach can be guaranteed an increased heart rate as Value Pac's infectious groove takes over all 6 of your senses. If your not so sure about the punk sound, songs like "We are the Ones" have a ska feel to them combining upbeat guitar licks and unforgettable melodies. "Jalapeño" complements any CD collection as it offers a unique blend of rock, punk and other various styles.
With all of this talk about their sound it is easy to look past the message. Don't! These fellas spit out their vocabulary with the craftsmanship comparable to a Bob Vila drywall and the quality of a Maya Angelou poem. To sum it all up... brilliant! Pure brilliance. Lend them your ear and you'll see what I'm talking about.
