Everland Entertainment's Angels All Around three-disc set contains a unique collection of choruses, hymns, and lullabies that relax the mind and soothe the spirit. The songs in this set are all softly sung and are meant to be listened to as background music. The sleeping baby on the cover of each album suggests both the ideal purpose and audience for the project. I, however, personally enjoyed the soft music while studying, and a friend of mine suggested it sounded a little romantic.
The three albums in this set contain the same instrumentation, consisting mainly of an angelic, mystically-played keyboard. An acoustic guitar is also occasionally heard, along with a few other widely interspersed sounds and noises. The lightly sung lyrics and the heavenly sounding music are the reasons these albums are so relaxing.
While each CD in the set sounds similar to the others, each one loosely centers around an individual theme. Peaceful Prayers contains songs like "Be Thou My Vision" and "My Jesus I Love Thee." Gentle Blessings contains children's favorites such as "Silent Night, Holy Night" and "Hush Little Baby." Soothing Scriptures, then, contains songs like "Seek Ye First" and "Jesus Loves The Little Children." Each of the discs, however, also contains original choruses, adapted melodies, and purely instrumental themes, such as "Edelweiss."
"Sleepy" is one word that describes Angels All Around, and the producers meant it to be that way. Those who want to be lulled to sleep or lull others to sleep will truly enjoy this very relaxing set.
