There's something for everyone on this tape. I had no idea of the talent that exists in Kansas City until now. All of the bands on this compilation belong to Crusade, which is like a Sanctuary-type ministry. Outcry starts this tape off with one of two numbers. Both songs, Majesty and Heaven's Love have touches of Sacred Warrior all over them with some fantastic guitar work by Jeff Scheetz. Hot Pink Turtle is next, with Funky Creed, and later with Breather. If you like Dig Hay Zoose, then you'll love these guys. They are very original! No wonder R.E.X. signed them. Majesty is next with Electric Preacher. This band blew me away. Vocalist Troy Powell can hit some of the highest notes I've ever heard! A Tear For Babylon was next by Heirborne. They remind me of Armageddon, with vocals similar to Axl Rose. Chancelus was next with I See You Cryin'. A great tune about one's search for Christ. Bloodpath is next with The Truth. I didn't like the beginning, due to its screams of "I Am The Way, I Am The Truth, I Am The Life," but it did get better. The last tune, Vengeance is Mine by Embryo Chrysalys, is a very gothic-sounding tune which started similar to Beheaded by Vengeance Rising. This was a great song that had that Die Happy "chugga-chugga" sound, till it began to thrash away. This tape is a great introduction for anyone looking for new talent.
