The "Duty Now for Reconstruction" kids from the Portland area that brought us the best night of Tomfest in the Art Barn this year have a little nu-new-wave-art-rock-roll destruction for you in the form of an 8-song comp. Fisher J. Price tears up some nasty, dirt-stank electronica in "Computron." The Janitors slap around some horrific garage rock with "The North Pole." Ganglia beats out some electronic death and mutilation on the 39-second "Hollow Horns." Edify thrash a minute-five of "Surrounded By Love." Phaser 500 messes around with some mean Atari Rock in "The Destination of an Erupted Nervous System." Chuck Venn tells "2 Scary Stories." Orcrist, featuring members of World Against World, gives us some metallic death-core with "I Am Evil." And then the Locust-loving Denote the Apex spits on "Ripping the Wings Off An Angel," a glorious gratuitously violent ditty. An outstanding new art-core indie comp.
