Canadian label Salad Dressing put out this international underground comp of twenty-five songs by twenty-four? (the last track is simply listed as 'Endtro' – and is a nice guitar instrumental) hardcore, punk, and emo bands. We have everything from the Huntingtons to Dodgin' Bullets to the Blamed and Overcome. Hangnail contribute a demo version of "Double Standard." Redeem rail through "Dead at Heart." Figure Four give us "Creed," and then later "Can't Turn Back" from their side-project My Time is Now. It's nice to see appearances from underrated Canadians on here, like Witness Protection Program ("08 Seconds") and the late Through and Through ("I Won't Die Today"). It is also nice to see the MP3.com champs Noise Ratchet on record with their stellar "Glove Full of Plagues." And Nils of Salad Dressing makes sure to get his own bands some exposure, with tracks by The Rock Band, Fallen Silent, and Fairview. You really can't go wrong with a comp featuring such a large and diverse selection of established and upstart bands, especially when it's assembled and packaged so attractively and thoughtfully (every band is listed with thorough contact info of course).
