Here's a new rap-core or Hip-Hop/Hardcore band or whatever you want to call it, for you to check out. 7th Vision is a band out of South Carolina that must have a pretty good local following. I can't imagine a band this talented not packing the house when they play. This is definitely fun music.
Why the low rating then? Well it comes down to the quality of the tape. It really is hard to listen to. I think the problem probably came in the mixing. The vocals are so upfront they drown out the music, and when you can hear the music, it's mostly the guitars. The bass guitar seems hidden as well, but the drums have a pretty good sound.
Lyrically we get into the political realm a little (not sure no lyrics were enclosed with the tape, but the vocals are pretty clear most of the time.) Judging by their webpage, they do have their hearts in the right place, that's for sure.
The biggest up side to the tape is it's only $5.00, and well I know lots of demos are 5 bucks, but this one's got 8 songs! Most $5.00 demos have 4 songs. So you get your money's worth out of it for sure. It's a great way to find out what the band sounds like. They do have a good style, and like I said it's fun music. It's just something you will not listen to everyday due to the poor production.
