Creative, and original. Both musically and lyrically. That's what you get with this release by A Different Kind of Cop. It's called Another Everyday Occurence, and believe me this is not something you find just everyday. Thick and heavy electro-driven industrial music at its best. This is seriously your first REAL Christian alternative to KMFDM or Skinny Puppy.

As with a lot of electronic artists, this is a one man project, and most of time I find I don't like this as well because you tend to have a feel of only one opinion and one direction for the music. Such is not the case with ADKOC. Creativity oozes throughout this CD. Especially when you realize you're being treated to a fully electronic sound (no guitars) and find that you don't mind, and aren't missing anything.

The opening song "Anger Is My Friend" while showing off musical prowess, really don't give you a good feel for what you are in for with this album. It's not until the second song "IT6" breaks in that you feel the abrasive, attack of ADKOC. Once started however this aggression is not let up until the CD winds down with "White Knuckle Treatment." One of my favorite tracks is "Blank Generation" by the Voidoids. Credit is given to Richard Hell and the Voidoids, but man I didn't realize it was way back in 1977 when that song was written what a great song, and presented here it's, dare I say...even better!

This CD is being offered through the band's MP3.COM site for a mere $5.99, so there's really no reason not to hear this thing. It's great industrial!
