While 70's retro is somewhat of a rage right now, some fine folks have re-released a pair of early, early Christian hard rock albums on CD. Some of it is really rockin', and there's some cool jazz instrumentals as well -- especially on Victims of Tradition (circa 1972). There's some really traditional blues stuff on the Gospel Hard Rock album (circa 1971). A few of the highlights include the song "Blind." There's some tasty leads in "Freedom," and some cool Doors-type meandering in "Rejoice."
