When I saw the cartoon caricature of Johnny Orr on the cover of his Naked Bootleg, I expected to hear green cheese on the inside. Instead, I found some very tasty and spicy jammin'. This guy tries to strangle his BC Rich guitar, and his voice is pleasant to boot! It's nice to see a musician who puts his efforts on CD and has something to say with it. Johnny's not one to push an agenda, but there's plenty of lessons and honestly in the songs here.
Those who enjoy hearing guitarists trying to make their guitar sing as loud and clear as their vocal chords will like this Naked Bootleg. This is a much more serious project than the cover would hint at.
