Arrival
Delayed
Reviewed by Doug Van Pelt
Variety is the spice of life, right? If I was club-hopping at a music conference (like South By Southwest, for example), and I heard an arena rock band bleeding from a club, I would probably walk on by . . . unless the playing was tight and in the pocket AND the vocalist had a great voice that rivals Mickey Thomas (Jefferson Starship). Then, as in the case with Arrival, I would listen. If there's still a space in your heart for clean, polished arena rock, you'll want to bring your lighter to the Arrival concert.
