Life is full of unusual twists and turns. Musical groups evolve and grow. Sometimes they reach a crossroads. That's exactly where you'll find AVB in their latest offering, The Road.
The Road, the acappella R&B group's fifth release, contains new recordings of previously-released material, plus a few new tracks, most of which were written by current AVB members.
New songs on the CD include "Always," "Forever," and "The Sound of Music." "The Road" and "That's That" are new introductions to previously-released songs. John C. Green is the featured vocalist on two of the first three songs, and Max Plaster and Wes McKinzie really jam on "The Sound of Music."
New recordings of previously-released material include "Kyrie" which was made popular by Mr. Mister in secular music a few years ago. Others include classics such as "Ignorance Ain't Bliss," "Father," "My Heart," "Money," "Nothing In The World," "Anything 4 U," "Walk By Faith," "Heaven," "Roll That Stone Away," and others.
For those of you who are already AVB fans, this is a project you should want to hear. If you've never listened to AVB, they're best described as having an acappella R&B sound that includes ballads, rap, and pop styles. You'll be amazed--all sounds are anatomically produced. It's quite a departure from the four-part harmonies of old.
The Road is a solid release from AVB.
