Before there was Black Cross, there was Black Widows. This release from Initial Records has made available the first releases as Black Widows and outtakes from some recording sessions and their limited vinyl release as Black Cross. This is a must have for Black Cross fans and for punk fans in general. Black Cross is going to be one of the next big things if they aren't already. They (and with other bands on their side of the fence) are completely redefining the punk landscape and progressing the style in a positive form. They remind me of Black Flag in a few aspects but they are all their own sound. This is a background check album and is a great starting point for those who haven't been into them. Great job!
