A few of my friends from my home town of Easton, PA got together and formed a band called Cold Like December. I told them to give me a cd of their first release. Their drummer Nick stopped into my workplace and gave me their cd. Their first release is a 6 song ep called "Oh my God its full of stars e.p."
They are actually a lot better than I thought they would be. They're a little hardcore and a little screamo. They would be in the vein of Turning Point, mewithoutYou, Thursday, Cursive and Planes Mistaken for Stars. They do a good job of mixing influences and styles. The production quality isn't all that bad either. It could be a lot better but for a DIY release it's pretty decent. Check out their website if you want to know more.
