When I first got this CD I was very excited, I've been awaiting this one for a long time, and just took my dear sweet time to get it is all. Anyway I loved this CD the first few times through, and it's a good CD, but the more I listened to it the more I realized that with this CD you can kind of watch Crimson Moonlight grow...or at least it seems that way to me.

I'd say their newer stuff is the first couple of tracks, and as you progress through this CD EP you get to their older stuff. I say this simply because the later tracks really seem like average black metal songs. They do not stand out and have all the key elements. This equates to them getting kind of boring after a few listens to.

The intro to this CD is simply KILLER as is the first real song (track 2) "Where Darkness Cannot Reach" and the following melodic instrumental is pretty darn nice as well "Symphony of Moonlight (piano instrumental)." From there you only have 2 tracks left on this CD, "Eternal Emperor" and "The Final Battle" but these songs are the average Black Metal songs I mentioned above.

When I really analyzed it, I saw I had a 4 song CD EP with an intro that had 2 good songs one of which is a Piano Instrumental. Understand when ordering this CD that is in a nutshell what you are getting.

These guys have some talent and I can't wait to get my hands on a full length of new material by them, "Where Darkness Cannot Reach" is proof that it will kick demonic butt from here to hell and back!

Dead Zine 1998Reviewed by MuchFirst off, yes, I suck and totally lost the insert to this EP. Regardless, you get my noble opinion that you have EARNESTLY awaited (har hum) If you're looking for excessive atmospheric black metal here's your package. The first track is a melodic instrumental, but the percussion ignores basic drum beats with plenty of fills, yet still leaving the song somber. Track two displays both atmosphere…Dead Zine 1998Reviewed by GrindboyFor the black metal starved Christian music scene, Crimson Moonlight is a band worth checking out. And for the rest of the world, Crimson Moonlight is a band to be prepared for. Eternal Emperor starts out with an instrumental intro that leads into "Where Darkness Cannot Reach", perhaps the most spectacular black metal masterpiece I've heard. Mind blowing in its relentless energy, a whirlwind of…
