Jets To Brazil bass player, Jeremy Chatelain, offers eleven emotionally rich, dusty country pop songs and hymns on this solo-project LP. Chatelain's revision of the old-timey gospel number, "Faithful Soldier," is magical. The title track sounds like another gospel classic revisited, but is in fact of Chatelain's creation, and is a triumph within and outside of its genre. "Butterfly" employs the harsh blues lead guitarwork of Jeff Johnson, laid under and around a simple, sentimental melody. "Through My Window" also sings the blues, but in a more modern, alt-country way. "Hollow Sidewalks" ends the record like a grateful, whimsied prayer -- tears passing smiling lips, eyes fixed on the fantastic mundane passing by a car window, mind transported to an imaginary childhood.
