Cub Country is basically Jeremy Chatelain, bassist from the Jade Tree Records band Jets to Brazil. "High Uinta High" is Cub Country's first release and was released by Jade Tree. Besides this release Cub Country also has a split EP with Utah Slim.

"High Uinta High" is an album that most likely will not get the attention it deserves. The release is a heavily roots rock based album that may not quite get the "right attention" being released on Jade Tree, a label primarily known for its punk, hardcore and indie rock releases. Don't get me wrong, Jade Tree is a great label, but for the most part your typical Wilco, and Pete Yorn fans may not think to look to Jade Tree for their Alt. Country fix, which is unfortunate with such a solid release like this. Although he does have the Jets to Brazil connection going, and although very different from Jets true music fans should appreciate what Jeremy has going on in this release.

Filled with acoustic guitar, slide guitar, laid back drumming and lyrics that will leave you lonesome, thinking and hoping. All songs on "High Uinta High" are original tunes with the exception of a wonderful cover of the traditional gospel hymn "Faithful Soldier (traditional)". Cub Country is just getting started and with a first full-length like this definitely keep an eye out for this band.
