David's made a slight name for himself by co-opting the reverb-drenched vocal sound of Ozzy Osbourne. While not going after the biting/shredding style of Rhoads-era Ozzy solo music, David chooses to bed his music with slow, Sabbath riffage. While this schtick works for a while as a novelty, the questions are begged: is it done well; and is this one trick enough? While Ozzy made a promising comeback with "No More Tears," we haven't heard anything as inventive from Mr. Benson on Premonition Of Doom. There's a place for parody, where this could fit, but as serious music what else can be said but "Ozzy clone?"
