Detour is one hot rockin' band from Southern California that is one of the more refreshing new bands to emerge in Christendom. The band covers a vast spectrum of styles ranging from ballads to metal. Don Fraser's lead vocals can go from soothing to piercing. Lewis David is an accomplished lead guitarist, who is very fast and smooth. Eric Turner, from the Darrell Mansfield Band, lends his axe-playing for the biting satiristic "B.M.W.", which carries a story about a man who thinks his spirituality is reflected by how much he's "blessed", like owning a BMW. It's very funny, yet seriously effective. The music is mostly of the commercial FM-rock variety. If you can imagine a cross between .38 Special and Journey, you'll have a good idea of their sound.
