I got this cd from the Dead CD X-Change. Ever since I heard Discarnated on Godspeed, I had wanted to hear more. The only place I had seen this album for sale was in Rad Rockers for fifty dollars. No cd is worth fifty dollars. However, this cd was worth the Six Feet Deep Struggle cd I traded for it. I was shocked by two things when I got this cd. Number one - the music was awesome, except for production which was lacking as it does in most indie releases. Number two - that someone would want to get rid of it. To each his own I guess. The basic style of Discarnated is death metal with grindcore and unblack elements tossed in. The vocals switch back and forth from the low, grinding death metal growl to the higher pitched unblack screams. Both are done very well. The drums are perfect for a death metal band. Full of double bass and blast beats. The guitars are typical death metal with technical riffs and difficult solos. Fans of Groms, Paramaecium's Repentance EP, Corpse, Horde and old Mortification will definitely find true love with Deus Misereatur. Just take a look at the song titles, of which there are only seven unfortunately.
1. Season of the Witch
2. Dancing Insane
3. Misery Guts
4. Gutted and Skinned
5. Black Cancer
6. Deus Misereatur
7. Violate the Grave
See what I mean? Definitely material for any death metal fans.
