For those of you who read the Training For Utopia review, and think I'm insane, here is proof of what I was talking about. For those who were unlucky enough to miss out on Disciple's Lantern album, here is a second chance for you. For those who have the Lantern album, here is some new Disciple that you must have. This music is just incredible.

Erie hardcoresters are back dishing it out this time on a 7inch vinyl or cassette. $4.00 ppd makes this quite the deal too. What you get is four serious hardcore songs performed with such talent you will be reeling to the fact that T&N has not signed this band. I can't say enough for the music. It is definitely hardcore, but fresh, very fresh. These guys pull stuff that is just unheard of before. The song Scarab has some insane drumming that is so unexpected...ahhh I just love it.

Lyrically these guys know where it's at. They lay it on the line, and have no fear in telling where they come from as in "Shoot Our Wounded"

I expect to stumble all my life
I expect to pull through with strength in Christ

Or take the second song on the recording "Yaweh"

Lord drain all sin and wrongdoings in my life
reduce from this world set my soul afire for you
so that everyone can see you in me
reduce me enslave me cleanse me so I may grow in you

There is no room to argue these lyrics this can only be Christian material, and I like that straight forward honesty in the bands I listen to. "Yaweh" is one of those songs that you can really feel within your soul as you listen to it. and sing along with it. A lot of power in that song, and it's all praise for the Lord our God.

Once you get this and you realize you want more Disciple, don't worry EMS of SA MOB tells me that he is going to repress their Lantern CD very soon. Keep checking Dead, I'll let you know when it's available.
