From my hometown of Dallas, Texas, comes Disencumbrance, one of the best death metal bands I've ever heard. There are only two songs here: "Mark of Death," which is referring to the mark of the beast described in Revelation; and "The Dead are Among Us," which I believe is a song about people who don't know Jesus.
The music here is incredibly intense. Drummer Karel Fiferna must have arms of steel to drum as well as he does. Vocalist Joe Espinoza has that typical Steve Rowe voice, but the music is so hot, it's easy to overlook it. The production is first class, which made this tape much more enjoyable.
