Echocast is a four-piece band from Tennessee. Their record "Where the Future Ends" is one of the first releases on XS Records.
Echocast sounds a lot like what is played on the alternative rock stations these days. They're basically grungy rock that sounds a lot like their labelmates Stavesacre and Embodyment, but just not as good.
"Where the Future Ends" has a few decent tracks like "Four Words," "Ignite" and "Catch Your Breath." But for the most part the music is more repetitive than original and the lyrics aren't much better, because they're too out there to make any sense.
Overall, the most interesting thing about "Where the Future Ends" is its cover. With a messed-up album cover and music that brings new meaning to the word "bland," listeners should hope this is where the future ends for Echocast.
