Shine Candy Shine

Listenable production--It's one of the first things I notice, or don't notice, about custom releases. Good news here! Electrik has released a tape with fidelity. They play bubble gum metal in the White Lion vein.
They've got a punch when required, but they lay into a big commercial/pop chorus in every tune. This group could be very big with the pre-teen and young girl crowd...real big. This band and Phil Accardi's Chalice ought to go on a national tour of malls this Fall.
The lyrics seem to be aimed at this same crowd:
"Have you ever dreamed of a place/ where loved ones never die? Could you believe if you received/ His arms are opened wide" --from "Have U Ever"
"I know someday she'll find her fantasy/ under a rainbow sky/ in a never ending sky/ in a never ending dream/ someday that little girl/ I know she's gonna be free/ on the day she starts to believe" --from "Under The Rainbow"
"You're a shine, you're a candy shine/ you're the sweetness in blood red wine/ If I'd ask you to dance/ wouldn't it be divine if you would dance with me?" --from "Shine Candy Shine"
Electrik's package seems complete: they've got the looks, the hooks, and lyrics--all focused on their potential audience.
Commercial rockers must buy the tape. Those with a taste for harder edge earfood will want to pass. These guys shine like candy.
