This is 1 band that will stir up a lot of controversy with its lyrics. With song titles like "In The Light Of Satanas" you really gotta listen carefully to what the band is really trying to say to see that this is no ordinary "Jesus loves you' in every other sentence band. Hailing from USA (I think). They play a form of hyper fast melodic black/death/goth metal. Don't mistake that when I mean fast I meant the fast un-melodic black metal of Marduk. But rather Equinox (and now known as Draco) shows the exceptional musicianship to create hyper fast black/goth metal with the strong melodic sense that most hyper fast black metal acts neglect. This demo boast 6 songs of fine pieces of music.
The whole album/EP, from songs like "Demonized", "Within The Light Of Satanas" to "From Beyond The Neverending" makes the person just dazed at the sheer speed of the Drums. I believe that they used some drum machine or programming to get that speed. The melodic aspect of this demo as a whole is very good. But the solos off this demo isn't really much to speak of. "Demonized" ends abruptly to usher in "King Of Worms" The drumming is really insane. Equinox makes use the shrill black metal shriek and clean vocals to bring out the music. From the atmospheric keyboards of "King Of Worms" to the ja-jang sound of the guitars of "The Lost Son" Equinox can really play some mean riffs. Every song uses some part in clean vocals. Every riff flows so well with the drums, bass and keyboards. "The Lost Son" starts with a voice proclaiming that men can turn from evil towards God. And let no man say it is impossible. "From Beyond The Neverending" the opening lead guitar sounds so much like classic metal only that it is played to intense black metal. "Ceremony Of The North Winds" the final song closes this album off. Full of the guitars and the tempo is changes abit. It is still fast, but has stops every now and then.
Hyper fast melodic black/goth metal that is simply great. I wonder how come no one is crazy over them. I guess the main reason is the lack of exposure on their part. They should send more stuff to zines, e-zines and radio stations to get more exposure. Very good album/EP.

HM Magazine #73Reviewed by Brian Vincent McGovernOne word: Heavy. Well, okay... more than one word: This is the fastest, most harsh bit of ample musicianship I've heard this issue. Bold, artistic anti-demon lyrics proclaim things like, "Demons' eyes bleed, they cannot see/relentless screams, 'Christ do not torture me!'" Most are written from the perspective of the vile one, and one is written from the perspective of a man questioning God's…
