Revelation Record's own Fall Silent has released their newest album, "Drunken Violence." Fall Silent formed in 1994 and calls Reno, NV home.
The musical style of Fall Silent harkens back to the early 80's brand of punk/hardcore mixed with the ferocity of metal a la Pantera. Specifically the vocal style is reminiscent of Gorilla Biscuits, Minor Threat and Black Flag. The general mood projected through the music is dismal and while Fall Silent has a unique style, within their own framework there is little variation. Towards the middle of the album the listen gets more difficult due to the lack of pizzazz. The songs tend to run together and a minimal amount of guitar leads sets up a monotony that is the weak point of the album.
