Split three ways like an emo-core pie, the best slice off this Punt! release is Sloe. Sloe has that radio quality that could catch them a name with emo pop kings like Thursday. They keep up the pace of a song well (some of the other pick bands might look here for some writing skills), their second track on the split steps away from the radio and into Radiohead for some electronica spinning loops around vivid vocals. Keeping Ellis shows potential, they are still not real sure of the sound they want, kind of awkward to listen to, but promising. Fighting Jacks have shown zero in the growth category.
