Flëaü (pronounced 'flow') dips into trip-hop to make a very soulful and clean sound. But don't automatically think of Tricky. Think more along the lines of Portishead, but with more structure. Marisol Laboy provides beautiful lead vocals (sounds like Tiffany Arbuckle at times), and she meshes well with DJ Rod Shuler to make spiritually uplifting and poignant music. This is a group you could listen to with your Mom in the car, and, although she might not rush out and buy the album herself, you both can enjoy something together that won't leave either one of you reaching to turn off the stereo.
