There are so many Christian 'punk' bands out right now that it is very infrequent that I happen across one that makes me go "Wow," but Last Tuesday succeeded. They are pure modern 'punk' from the "Let's Go!"'s to that repetitive drum beat . . . and I liked it. This was partially due to their deft use of harmonies and catchy bass lines, but there was something more that caught my attention. The vocals aren't overly polished, but remind me of the best songs of bands like Less Than Jake and Blink 182. Dear Jessica was able to capture the energy of a live show on a studio album in a way that many recordings fail to do. I am looking forward to buying this album and bopping down I-35 with other drivers laughing at me as I sing along.
