Jeru-Slam Records present this piece of thrash metal. Their name matches most of the lyrical content. If you subscribe to Z.O.T.T. (Zine Of The Times), you may be wondering why you haven't received an issue lately. This band may well be the reason. David Joo, affectionately known as "Squid", is the editor. He's had to spend some time cramming 17 songs on this tape. Production is awful, but that's genuine thrash for ya! Hardcore Christian lyrics rip and snort and are even more aggressive than the music. The song titles alone tell you where Squid and cousin Robert Wolff are comin' from: "Abolish Legal Murder," "Satan's Children," "If Tomorrow Comes," "Hopeless Child," "Burn the Porno Magazines," "Hellfire," "Throw the Rope," "Death to Death," "God's Not a Joke," "Jesus Is the Only Way," "P.W.C. (Pray Without Ceasing)" and "We Need Jesus." The FBI may be after Hellfire soon when a rash of porno-shop arson points to Hellfire's lyrics: "And are you sick of all the garbage on the magazine rack?/ Then wake up and face the fact/ And flick, flick, flick, flick your bick." (From "Burn the Porno Magazines.") If they go to court, they can just hire Julio Rey and The Lead to deliver a high speed defense. You can get this tape for $4 in the US and $6 overseas. Pay to: David Joo, PO Box 33, Stirling City CA 95978. T-Shirts (must be rad!) are $8.50 in US and $10.50 overseas.
