Whitecross's album has been released by Pure Metal and is selling like mad all over the US! It cooks! It has to be the best production for any Pure Metal release yet. The mix makes the band sound even more like Ratt. Someone ought to give a copy to Stephen Pearcy. They took a lot of time in the studio and I think the result has paid off all their efforts. I think the world may be in for a pleasant surprise. I really feel like this album will do very well on the secular market. All the headbangers at Cornerstone were anxious to see how good Whitecross is in concert. They didn't let this headbanger down, as they rocked at several decibels for about an hour. The crowd went nuts! Rex's guitar solo, which is encapsuled on their album with the title "Nagasaki," was blazing. Everyone was blown away, including Bloodgood's David Zaffiro. The only thing that may have taken people by surprise was the non-conventional look the band has - as far as metal goes. I think they certainly made up for that with excellent music. I could tell their set really excited Glenn Kaiser. He could be seen backstage hugging the members and enthusiastically encouraging them. The lineup of this energetic metal band is: Scott Wenzel on vocals; Rex Carroll on guitar; John Sproule on bass; and Mark Hedl on drums.
