Here's some killer funkin' groovin' stuff with primo sonics. These guys take a bold swipe at the Primus weirdo vibe and I think they really kill the ole beast with these tunes. The first of two cuts, "De Caf," prance along at a moshable/slam-able pace and mix a danceable groove into it. Hats off to this three-piece for a tight rhythm section. The album closer (what? only 2 tunes?) "My Pops," starts off with some dialogue from the Star Wars series, where Luke Skywalker discovers that Darth is his pops. The lyrics talk about being let down by an earthly father, but acknowledges that "my real pops wears a crown...He's in the sky!" Great stuff. It cranks and it's clear. For $4, you can't go wrong.
