A dark, brooding pop album that is more guitar-dominated than "Shaded Pain." Of exceptional merit is the tune "Not A Cuss Word", which is about Who Jesus is: "...born of a virgin, baptized in the Jordan, tempted in the desert, healer of the leper...got crucified and rose again..." and then asks, "I'm not your cuss word am I?" Wow. Powerful, psychedelic guitars and punky/vocal lines in the chorus. "Hummingbird" is another humdinger. It has an annoying operatic vocal line sung in Italian, French, and German, along with some droning by Michael. The lyrics are simply: "How beautiful is the hummingbird, how vile the lusts of man." This is some of the coolest weird Christian music out. It's not nice music. It's loud, angry, and very alternative.
