In Latter Reign's bio-sheet it says that they have been influenced by such bands as Dokken, Scorpions and Guardian. They have successfully combined these three sounds into one good demo. The production quality is lacking, but the band's performance makes up for it.
"Prisoner" is a hard driving song with some heavy guitar and drumming. "Real Love," "Only Believe" and "Don't Close Your Heart" are some intense commercial sounding tunes. "Real Love" has a catchy chorus. "Don't Close Your Heart" is on the edge of glam-metal, but don't let that scare you. "Commin' Back" and "Live for the Day" are a couple of tunes similar to some tunes put out by the band Mercy Rule years ago. The ballad "Winds of Changes" comes across strong and has a cool vibe to it.
These guys have a lot of potential displayed throughout the entire demo. With a higher quality production and some smoothing around the edges on some of the songs, we may have something here. Ask for the band's bio-sheet - it's rather interesting.
