Here's a live album from one of CCM's first legit street-level rappers. It's a rockin' album. The live recording shows the energy that was there at the concert, but it doesn't get translated properly onto tape. The boomin' bass doesn't get as much of the mix as Michael's vocals. The big plus is we get to hear some electric guitars and funky sounds behind the rap, which brings a more hardcore rap feel to it. Good stuff, but makes me wonder how well rap can translate live to tape.
