Here's a belated review of a tight Thrash project by Greg Minier (and no, this one doesn't sound like Applehead), which never was reviewed here after its release over one year ago. With an angry voice Greg screams out his urgent messages about the reality of Hell ("Do Not Be Deceived"), the horror of physical abuse and co-dependent relationships ("Price"), abortion ("Killing Of The Innocent"), the return of Christ ("Prophecy") and false intellectualism ("Philosophy Of Man"). Check out this verse from "Killing Of The Innocent": "Salt solution burns them black/ As they're taken from the mother/ Why should people have the choice/ To take life from another?" Simple and to-the-point, eh? Tunes like "The Skeptic" and "Killing..." move along quickly with killer fast solos. "Price" is an exception to the speed (as is "The Secret Song's" Blues excursion), with a slow heaviness that reminds me of some of the Acid Rock of the late 60's and early 70's (like The Amboy Dukes). The three tunes that stand out the most are "Killing...", "Prophecy" and "Philosophy Of Man". They all have cool rhythms that carry the song into a groove. "Philosophy..." has a killer lead-in riff that reminds me of the rush that I feel when listening to the intro to Vengeance's "White Throne". For a two-day project, Greg Minier did a swell job cranking out a Thrash EP.
