Okay, so we're agreed that Scrolls of the Megilloth is Mortification's greatest album, ever. So, what would follow as Mortification's Second Greatest Album? Um, that would be Post Momentary Affliction.
Post Momentary. . . is one of the must-haves. Simply because it A) has the perfect melding of death metal and power metal, before Mortification went all "classic metal" on us, B) it has the classic tunes "Distarnish Priest", "Human Condition", "Grind Planetarium" and "Post Momentary Affliction", and C) it introduces some great elements of doom metal that give Post Momentary Affliction more of an emotional feel to it than their previous efforts. That, and it was one of the first albums to be repackaged and mass marketed to the secular metal audience. It's just a good, solid extreme metal release.
'Nuff said.

The intro to "Distarnish Priest" is the…Similar sounding releases
