alright... the second album has a much different feeling and presentation. the band has dropped ye' ol' hairband looks and has taken on the "i look more wasted than you" look, and personally i think that look is cool. now, the guitar work is not too far from the Stop the Bleeding record. very old school thrash/speed and very technical. the riffs are executed very explicitly (heheh i like that word), and the vocals are great sounding. the only thing i would have to say is that the drums are not as profoundly great on this album. sure, there are off times... but i haven't ever heard ted do non off time beats... so there ya go. the lyrics on this album are just like any other tourniquet album... great. As much as this group may have some bad reputations as people and some personality differences... there is no doubt that God uses them.

not much to say about the songs... they all kind of meld together. overall, this is one of my least favorite albums by tourniquet. i just can't find a bunch of songs that i like... like in all the others. i think this becomes apparent when i listen to the collective works... the songs i skip are off of psycho surgery.

so... other than the weird metal/rap song with pid (not pod)... this album is your standard tourniquet of the day... while only four albums were recorded of this... it's not much different from pathogenic and stop the bleeding mixed... it seems more of a moving point than anything else to me.

    6/10

This particular album just happens to be in a brilliant stretch from '90-92' when Tourniquet made three killer albums in a row (this is the 2nd). The first song on this album is by far my favorite. It is the title track and begins…HM Magazine #92Reviewed by Doug Van PeltYou've got to rejoice in the justice of it all when a band redeems the rights to their back catalog. Then, when it gets re-released with new packaging and bonus tracks, you can really get excited. As in the case of Tourniquet, who have re-released their classic first three albums on their own (Stop The Bleeding, Psychosurgery, and Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance), and they didn't skimp on the…Heaven's Metal #31Reviewed by Stephen WagersRemembering the first time hearing "Stop The Bleeding" and recalling what set Tourniquet apart from other techno-thrash bands, secular or Christian, is their musical ability. "Psycho Surgery" rips into the opening cut by the same name, and only lets up when it intends to. This album finds the addition of two permanent members: guitarist Erik Mendez; and bassist Victor Macias, whose thunderous…
