Four young men from Maine called Mustard have put together this seven song EP. The record hits its high point early with Barry McGuire's classic song "Eve of Destruction." The other six songs are originals and lack the power of the message, or of the poetry of the McGuire song. The foursome of Moses Lizotte, Jeremy Buckley, Manley Gove, and Mark Gove, play hooky pop rock music with a bit of a punk harmony vocal style. The music is not bad, actually kind of fun, however, the songs are in need of some lyrics that come from a deeper place. Whether Mustard has the ability to write those songs or not is up for debate. Maybe with maturity, maybe time will tell.
