Remember when Zao drummer Jesse Smith blew your mind with his Through The Eyes of Katelyn project? (I like that album) Well, he has returned with another incarnation — Oceans — that is all over the place. Huge, atmospheric moments; crazy techno insanity; and dreamy shoegazing fuzz. Quite a far cry from the intensity of his former (?) band, but a beautiful dynamic that would work if only he'd pick one direction and go there (!)
