The North Georgia Christian rock scene has produced luminaries as diverse as Luxury, Smalltown Poets and Luti-Kriss. Now, fresh from their hometown of Marietta, come Georgia's next big thing, Pacifico. With production and engineering expertly done by Matt Goldman of Piltdown Man fame, Pacifico's debut record, Still on Hold is a nice blend of mid-90s garage rock and mid-70s glam rock.
Lead singer Matt Schwartz has a fine sense of melody and a penchant for glitter lyrics ("We won't die; we'll just multiply!" he croaks near the beginning of the album), and the rest of the band is tight and talented enough to serve as more than just his backing group. Hopefully these guys will break soon and break big.

HM Magazine #90Reviewed by Treble BandopplerHey, you know – why is it so hard to make music like this now days? Everything has to be some kind of abominable combo platter that leaves you emptier and stupider than when you sat down. But there is so much to eat when you just give out the rock and give up the roll, and let it do what it does, and everything is kosher. Nobody gets hurt. Well, a few people get hurt, but that's their own…Decapolis 2001Reviewed by Nate BaileyPacifico is from Atlanta, GA and have been around since 1999. Still Holding on was released on Vapid Records. When the first song of this 5 song EP started something sounded strangely familiar. It took me awhile to place it, but Pacifico's "Multiply" sounds a lot like Plankeye's "Someday." The following songs have a feel of Hokus Pick and older Pray for Rain with bits and pieces of Plankeye…Similar sounding releases
