I have only been familiar with this band from a distance over the years, enjoying the occasional song on compilations I bought but put off enough by the content of the lyrics I read that I never bought one of their albums. This new one, while packing a big fat punch of energy and great sound, fails to hold my interest even a little. I love how this guy sings, and the guitar work is interesting, but out of the 14 tracks, only the title track sticks in my head, even moments after I've listened to them. Friends of mine who were really into Propagandhi are disappointed with this album, even though it's completely undeniable how incredibly talented these guys are. The songwriting just isn't there this time around, or maybe it's just not my thing -- if you liked Propagandhi before, borrow this from a friend before you spend your cash on it.
