Rob Lind (AKA White Trash Rob) has had a very busy year in 2002. He has released two albums with two different bands and also has toured with both bands. Those bands being Blood For Blood, who put out one of my favorite releases this year, and Sinners And Saints. Rob Lind was also at it with a new "solo" project. Ramallah is the new child of Rob Lind. Rob does everything on this album except play drums. Ramallah's debut album is called "But a Whimper" and is out on Bridge Nine Records.

When I first saw the name of the band I became curious. When I looked inside the booklet and I saw the song titles, they were all in Arabic, I became even more curious. But when I saw Rob Lind's name I became utterly confused. I had no idea what to think. I was so used to Blood For Blood's angry and brutal lyrics that it was a hard stretch for me to imagine White Trash Rob doing anything else.

Ramallah is much harder than anything Blood For Blood has ever done. Gotta love Boston hardcore! There is virtually no vulgarity in the lyrics but the lyrics do not miss any passion or power. This is an album that matters. Lind gets across his feelings about society and politics on his own. I have to give this guy my utmost respect for doing his best in three separate projects. Lind goes back to what punk rock and hardcore is all about with Ramallah. He shows that it should be spiritual, political, emotional, and questioning society. Rock on Rob.

I think all Blood For Blood fans will love this album and I think anyone who appreciates music that has a message that matters will at least respect Lind's work. Great lyrics, great music, great production, great album.
