This band from Flagstaff, AZ, has quietly sold their demo through Heaven's Metal with no indication of how they sound. Well, I finally got a copy to review. It is good, solid metal with vocals that sound seasoned. The vocalist doesn't sound like an inexperienced kid. Remember when Danny Joe Brown left Molly Hatchet for awhile and they got someone to fill in on lead vocals? (1981) Well anyway, this guy sounds like that guy who sang for Molly Hatchet on their Beatin' the Odds album. The guitar work here sounds as gritty as any of Molly Hatchet's best work. It also has the low-end bite that Judas Priest uses all the time. This band plays through the right equipment. This six-song demo will not let any of you down. It's got guts where it counts, both lyrically and musically. The song titles alone hint at the intelligence level of the lyrics: "When the Reign Comes Down." Songs like "Born Again" make no bones about the direction and intent of the song. The production is not great, but it doesn't take away from the effectiveness of the music. Metalheads, check this out! You can't go wrong for $6. Look at it as paying a dollar per song. Send to: Rizer Fan Club, 2612 W. Melvin St, A-30, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
