In 1985, four hardcore kids got together and formed Boston's legendary hardcore band, Slapshot. Through the years they have managed to release a slew of 7 inches, ep's and lp's. They have been one of the most influential hardcore/punk bands for almost 20 years. If you are a fan of hardcore and you don't know who Slapshot is then you aren't a fan of hardcore.

Their new release "Greatest Hits, Slashes and Crosschecks" is out on Bridge Nine Records. This album has everything for Slapshot fans. It contains 22 tracks. Two of them are new, the other twenty songs are all re-mastered versions of old classic Slapshot songs. This CD also includes two live videos and a section full of old flyers from past Slapshot shows. The album's jacket contains the band's biography and pictures of the band and back stage passes. So if you don't know who Slapshot is, you can experience the whole band in one album. You can get all their classic songs, a full band biography, live videos so you can see what they are like live, and pictures of flyers so you can see all the bands that they have played with over the years.

Slapshot isn't done yet though. They are releasing a new album in the spring of this year and hopefully a tour will follow. Get this album before they hit the road so you can sing along to all the old favorites.

Great songs, classic band, great production. This album will become a classic hardcore album.
