Like a sucker punch by the neighborhood bully, Takaru's sound smacks you around like a little weakling. They team up with Alone Records and continue the tradition of putting out some brutal, hard and thought provoking music. At some points they have the power violence and at some points it's just flat out metal but they blend at the same time. Takaru is politically and socially charged but at the same time very intelligent with their view points. They tackle issues ranging from rape/sexual abuse, to prisons, to buying produce directly from farmers rather than corporate run farms. It is refreshing not only hearing someone stand up for what they believe but also being educated on what they believe. It gets tiresome when there is a void of substance in some bands but it is also tiresome hearing someone spout off about anarchy or leftist politics when they have no idea what they are talking about. I also love the Highlander like album title.

Takaru is brutal and is not for everyone but if you like the metal or the power violence; this is for you. Also if you like politically charged music; this is also for you.
