You know what? CD EP's suck. I know this is just a demo CD for Test of Faith but I can't STAND that I've only got 3 songs by this amazing band!

I guess you have no real choice but to call Test of Faith progressive metal, but they are not as artsy as what you first think of in progressive metal. Sure they pull off incredible leads, and have beautiful vocals ala Geoff Tate (Queensryche), sure the drum patterns are off timed in places and then right back on just in time for you to go "what was that?" Still they manage to take progressive metal and make it more interesting and entertaining than most bands. (I can't stand what Deliverance has been doing on the last SEVERAL albums!)

The songs are No More Rainbows, which is the rockingest song on the album with a pretty quick tempo. Next is The Call, a very evangelical song, that rips off some of those killer leads I spoke about...ahhh just amazing! Wrapping up this CD is What Kind Of Love, a passionate song that speaks with awe of the love of Jesus to have gone through what He did for us wretches!

Six bucks gets you a copy of your very own, and let me tell you something...you WILL listen to this over and over again. Recommended for Queensryche, Deliverance (if you want something BETTER), Terramaze fans.

HM Magazine #83Reviewed by A Girl Called GordonThis is a classic metal band. Vocals are reminiscent of the melodic, high toned vibrato singers of the 80's. Instrumentally this band has come into the 90's, so we'll have to see how they hold in the '00's. Since there has been a resurgence of metal bands and fans, I think this band will be able to hold their own. They have the skills down.Art for the Ears 2000Reviewed by Marco PovervestIf you like the metal sounds of eighties and early nineties, a style that revives in some parts of this world, Test Of Faith may be a band worth to check out. The three songs on this demo CD display a band with powerful melodic metal. Their songs have both heavy parts and acoustic passages. The production is fairly good and the songwriting is done with care showing a band capable of more.…
