The Blamed have been around for many a year. They began with a hard punk edge and have now drifted towards experimental indie Rock.
This is a short four- track release by The Blamed. The sound embraced on this takes a very different direction than from the last time I heard them (early T+N releases: 21, and Frail). It has the overtones of an experiment of some sort, pushing the boundaries and writing music that explores different song structures and many distinct instrumental sounds. The vocals are more chanted than sung and the tracks roll into each other.
"At This Moment" takes The Blamed in a direction they want, but some listeners may find themselves bored at the repetition and vocal style. There are few distinct melodies and I found my attention wondering. Nevertheless, with four tracks, it's over almost as soon as it has begun.
