The Color Red is from Southern California. They have played with Lit, The Offspring, Papa Roach and 311. They recently released their newest album, "Clear," with BMG.
The Color Red plays a radio friendly version of melodic rock. This is pretty typical of what you might find on MTV or playing in Hot Topic. Despite their basic commonness, there are some decent hooks and some catchy moments on this album (although few and far between). Similar in style to bands like Chevelle, there are loud moody guitars and the occasional lead riff. There's little division between where one song ends and the other begins. The production is great, but being on BMG I would think they have the money to pay for it. Too bad though, that they don't really have anything worth recording.
