The Reunion Show has been around since 2000. They have toured the country and previously released a 6-song demo themselves. This is their debut release for Victory Records. It's called "Kill Your Television."
What can I say? The Reunion Show can be easily compared to other keyboard/Moog driven bands. No big surprise there. "KYT," contains poppy, melodic rock firmly implanted with keyboards and singsong vocals. Lyrics cover a range of issues from TV to love and back again. They compare themselves to The Cars and Weezer, but they fall hopelessly short of either. "Art of Nothing" has a chorus that sounds like a modified Counting Crows song (think..."the worst things come from inside here...") and "New Rock Revolution" sounds a whole lot like label mates and friends, Taking Back Sunday. There's nothing worth hearing here that you can't find somewhere else, but better.
